EEG TECHNICIAN – Melbourne Region

Position Summary

This successful candidate will perform and review ambulatory video-ECG recordings and complete routine administrative tasks. You will provide feedback to the designers of a cloud-based data analysis and viewing platform. You will also be provided with training to work as an EEG technician, and connect patients to our video-EEG-ECG system.

Key Responsibilities

As an ECG technician with Seer you will independently perform the following:

Reporting and Reviewing

  • Independently review and annotate ambulatory video-ECG recordings, and eventually review and annotate EEG recordings.


  • Learn to connect patients to video-ECG-EEG system.

  • Securely transfer and manage patient data.

  • Maintain data integrity via remote log in / contacting patients via telephone.

  • Perform minor equipment maintenance

We have obsessively high standards

  • Complete a Seer scientific report outlining your findings.

  • Communicate findings with reporting specialist.

  • Complete allocated ECG studies within a 1-week timeframe.

Administrative tasks

  • Contact patients and coordinate bookings.

  • Liaise with referring doctors regarding booking times and report completion.

Travel / Call Outs

  • On rare occasions travel to satellite offices to connect/disconnect patients.

  • Occasional onsite call out – if equipment cannot be fixed remotely.

Cardiologist Interaction

  • Visit cardiologists to raise awareness of the service.

Key Capabilities

We are looking for people with a strong theoretical and practical understanding of electrocardiography. The successful candidates will work well independently, have exceptional communication skills, cope with tight deadlines and be able to work in a very dynamic environment.


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

  • Experience with Philips Holter software or similar.

  • Comfortable with technology.

  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines.

  • Self-directed and takes initiative.


  • Experience reviewing ECG data and identifying abnormal activity is essential.

  • At least three years’ experience in a clinical electrocardiology centre is desired.

  • Experience reviewing Holter monitors in adults is essential, and paediatric experience is desirable.


Salary range: $70k-$90k negotiable depending on experience, plus 9.5% superannuation.
